Employers Requirements for design and build contracts. Negotiation on tenders for the whole of the project with a selected contractor and advise the client on 'design and build' contracts. Checking and reporting on tenders received and making recommendations for acceptance. Bills of Quantities / Schedule of WorksPreparation of bills of quantities and schedule of works for all types of building and civil engineering projects from drawings, plans and specifications prepared by the design team, to enable competitive tenders to be obtained from contractors. The bills of quantities and schedule of works are then used for the post contract work to accurately cost the work during construction to pay interim accounts to the contractor. ProcurementAdvising on the procurement of construction work including contract co-ordination and management agencies. Financial ControlMonthly valuations of the work carried out with a recommendation for certified payment. Periodic assessments of the anticipated final costs of the works with full details of any likely changes in expenditure due to variations and site instructions. Measurement of work and adjustment of variations in accordance with the contract and preparing the final account by pricing and agreeing items of work with the Contractor.
